Learning a language is better when you can see yourself moving. That is why we just launched a quiz leaderboard: a friendly way to compete with other students, with no pressure and nothing to sign up for.
Practicing is how you join
There is no sign-up and nothing to configure. Every quiz you get right adds up and places you alongside other students. If you are taking a course, you are already in; if you practice on your own, your first quiz brings you in.
What counts, exactly
Quizzes count when you answer them correctly within your first tries, whether they come from your lessons, your practice or your assessments. Each one counts once, so repeating it will not change your score.
You can look at yourself three ways: your streak, which counts the consecutive weeks with at least one correct quiz; this week, covering the last seven days; and best week, your record.
Achievements along the way
Badges show up as you go: your first quiz, 50 quizzes, streaks of 4 and 12 weeks, and the podium. They are granted automatically, looking at everything you have already done.
If you would rather not appear
The leaderboard is optional. You can leave any time from Settings, under "Quiz leaderboard": you stop appearing to others and your progress keeps being saved, so if you come back, you come back with everything you did.
Others see only your first name, your last initial, your flag and the language you are studying.
